Came here as part of a food tour to try some of their famous bread. The bread really is delicious, it was so soft and fluffy, I loved it

This bread shop is very old in Hanoi. They serve traditional pate bread. The price for one pack of bread is around VND 25-40k. For who loving fat food, it is a good choice. It's appropriate for breakfast, brunch, lunch. In addition, they provide some…drinks such as: soya, beers, soft drinks, etc with reasonable price. More

One of the oldest shop selling only banh mi. Every ingredient including the baguette is home made in the shop. Pate, cooked meat, pigskin gelatin and the chilli. The baguette is so soft and fresh inside and the putter crust is just so crispy. Add…a few drops or spoonful of the home made chilli sauce…HEAVEN! It's light and fulfilling for a quick big and healthy too. Must must try!!! More

If you're not familiar with the Hanoi style banh mi, don't come here expecting lots of herbs and pickles. This place really lets their bread and pate shine in a simple but perfect banh mi. So cheap and fast too!

Is a little bit out of the way being about 5 blocks from the Women's Museum. The banh mi was a simple fresh baguette with house made pate, butter, cucumber, sliced pork and chilli sauce. Very simple flavours compared to those back home in Sydney….The bread was the best part. More

The price is cheap. Pate has its own taste, delicious. Well-done bread. Hanoi has no good Pâté bread, so this's rare place where you can find better Pâté bread than anywhere else in Hanoi.

A non descript shop selling the popular baguette that is a must eat item when in Vietnam. The baguette are freshly baked in the back kitchen and is kept warm or crisp in a small oven next to the table with all the ingredients. The…special is their pate like paste and meat. If you are not comfortable with these, point to the eggs and cucumbers. Your baguette will be ready in a jiffy and you can eat in. Good place for a rest and a afternoon tea. More

After a few weeks in Vietnam, we were in search of something slightly different for our daily Banh Mi intake. And this place delivered. Very simple, with barely any vegetables (which I'm told is the style in Northern Vietnam), just a baguette full of meat…and a tasty chili sauce. And for around 50 cents a roll, everyone's smiling. Make sure you push the locals out of the way to keep your place in line, as this place gets busy! More

I can't believe this place isn't already on Trip Advisor as we read many articles and blogs about it. I guess I'm the jerk letting the secret out. It's a very basic banh mi. I'd say its only about 70% full and 30% just baguette,…but I didn't mind as the flavors were on point. Probably best for a light lunch or afternoon snack. But If 1 doesn't fill you up then order a second for about $1 each and it'll be ready in under a minute. Starts with really great baguette, then some soft cheese, 2 types of pate, and cucumbers. At first glance I was sad about the absence of carrot/daikon/cilantro but trust me, this is a really really great banh mi. And honestly one of the top 5 best hot sauces I've ever had (and I'm a mexican food + hot sauce snob from San Diego, CA who has traveled central america and south east asia) It's a very simple place. The friendly woman making them is situated, in typical banh mi fashion, on the sidewalk with a few tables in door behind her. She doesn't speak a lot of english, but thats fine, cause there's really only one right way to order her banh mi. Simply tell her how many you want and they will literally be done in less then 1 minute each. When we went her refrigerator was not working so if you really need a cold drink then maybe get the sandwiches to go. There are plenty of mini marts on the block with cold drinks. The cherry on top of this excellent banh mi is how proud the lady is when you take pictures and she says, "Number 1… Banh Mi!" holding up her index finger. More
